Before a place can be offered the applicant will be asked to visit the school to be assessed. These assessments vary according to the age of the child. This will involve spending some time at the school and/or in the class he or she will be placed in and may give your child the opportunity to have a taste of school life at Kings'.

Applicants will be notified of the outcome of the assessments. Successful applicants will be followed up with a formal offer letter that is valid for seven days from receipt We are an academically selective school

Each applicant must have the necessary academic qualifications, fulfil the Schools’ admissions criteria and pass the Schools’ assessment process

  • FS1 and FS2: play based observational assessments (we look at communication, interaction and the ability to follow instructions)
  • Years 1-11: a written task
  • Years 3-11: computer based Cognitive Ability Test (CATs) for Years 3-11. Each online test is appropriate to the age of the child and will take between one and two hours
  • FS and years 1-2: informal time in school for an observation if the child is already in Dubai
  • Secondary students: are also considered in line with the constraints of the GCSE courses and examinations schedules
Upon joining

Upon joining the school you will be required to submit your child's Transfer Letter/Certificate if joining from outside the UAE (students are not able to join without this document) or an electronic copy will be sent from your previous school (if inside the UAE). Please see examples via the link HERE. All paperwork and visas must be with the school within 30 days of joining or your child will not be legally registered with the KHDA.

Please bring your child's Emirates ID along with the father's Emirates ID for scanning to comply with the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) requirement as private schools regulator in Dubai.
