Application Process

Entry requirements:

    • To access A-Level courses, students are expected to achieve a minimum of six GCSE subjects at grade 6 to 9 (including Mathematics and English). 
    • A grade 7, 8 or 9 in subjects they are choosing to study at A-Level is preferred. A grade 7, 8 or 9 should be achieved in a closely related subject when a subject has not been studied at GCSE. 
    • To access BTEC courses, students are expected to achieve at least a grade 4 in Mathematics and English.
    • External applicants will be required to sit additional assessments. For subject-specific requirements, please refer to the individual subject course guide.

Applications to Kings’ Sixth Form are welcome throughout the year for September entry.

Applications are reviewed as soon as they are submitted and after assessing each application, candidates will be called for an interview with the Head of Post-16 Studies. If successful, a conditional offer will be made pending GCSE results in August.
