Sponsor Your Family

Residency Visa Procedures for family in the UAE

The procedure can only be started after issuing your residence visa and receiving your Emirates ID.

The visa process can be somewhat lengthy and comes in conjunction with medical insurance arrangements. It could take around 6 to 8 weeks until your work visa and company medical process is complete.

Please arrange individual insurance for a minimum of 12 weeks and for those with families, please also arrange medical cover for any dependents accompanying you.

A husband may sponsor his wife and children’s residency in the UAE. A wife may sponsor her husband and children’s residency if she is employed as a Teacher. Please see the following link for the latest information.

If the husband is outside of the UAE, then the wife will need an NOC from her husband to sponsor their children. This NOC has to be attested by the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the UAE Embassy in their home country, plus by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the UAE.

If you have all required documents ready, further steps can be completed through the Amer Centres. In that case, you are not required to visit GDRFA (General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs).

All charges, including deposits, courier, and file opening fees, will be processed through the Amer Centers.

Kings’ will cover the cost of an employee’s visa only, the employee must bear the visa costs for their dependents.
